Suger Maple

Order Sugar Maple Fine Art

The Sugar Maple is the queen of autumn glory. Its beautiful color displays of bright gold, red, green and russet, bring beauty and cheer to the autumn season. Representing abundance, inspiration, delight and the sweetness of life, its helicopter seed dispersal system is a delight for children, and inspiration for engineers. Its sweet maple syrup, seeds, buds, twigs and leaves all serve as a food source for forest animals, and Native Americans turned the sap into small black cakes providing a large percent of their diet during the winter months. Maples are also prized for their beautiful strong wood, great for fires, paddles and oars. A tea made from the inner bark is a blood tonic, diuretic and expectorant. A compound infusion of the bark has been used as drops in treating blindness, and the sap has been used for treating sore eyes. Maple tree has a lot to give and is very generous. It sends its message of beauty in the fall as if to indicate to all life in the forest, to be of good cheer. It will be there to provide freely during the cold winter months with energy to feed all of the forest life and still have enough for itself.
