White Clover

Representing magic, cheerfullness, health, abundance and good fortune, fairies are thought to dwell within the clover patches.   As the folklore goes, finding a four-leaf clover not only brings good luck, but allows the bearer to see the invisible fairies and plant sprites.   Only about one in ten thousand plants will naturally mutate to produce a fourth leaf.  In fact, the old idiom to be “in clover” means to live a carefree life of ease, comfort and prosperity.   Clover is not all luck however, drunken regularly as a tea; it purifies the blood, treats skin problems and most importantly has been found to have substantial anti-cancerous effects.
